Chantilly, VA -- The VCOS Board of Directors and VCOS Elections Committee are excited to announce the final results of the 2018 VCOS election. The results are unofficial until the ballot is approved at Fire-Rescue International (FRI) in Dallas.
Congratulations to:
- Deputy Fire Chief James Seavey, Sr.
- Fire Chief Ron Oettel
- Fire Chief Al Yancey, Jr.
Their 3-year terms will start at the VCOS Annual Meeting during FRI in Dallas in August.
Chief Tim Wall, VCOS chairman, said the 2018 VCOS election had strong candidates and thanked them for running outstanding campaigns.
“We are fortunate to have so many active members who care about the future direction of our section," Wall said. "Competitive elections with amazing candidates such as we had this year is what makes the VCOS one of the most effective and productive sections of the IAFC.”
