Be Prepared: Hurricane Season and Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

Hurricane season is still more than two months away, officially, but your agencies may already be making plans.

As you do, remember the CDC's Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention Toolkit, all parts of which are available for your use and adaptation at no charge.

The toolkit includes audience-tested CO-poisoning prevention information in the following formats:

  • Bill inserts
  • Flyers
  • Campaign graphic
  • Point of sale flyers
  • Print PSA
  • Web banners (usable as buttons or widgets as well)
  • B-roll video package

Any of these items can be adapted to include your own logo alongside CDC’s logo; information and graphics from them can be extracted for use in materials you may be developing. If you’re interested in using the InDesign files for any parts of the toolkit, those are available by request.

The toolkit is hosted by the National Public Health Information Coalition.
