Voting in the 2014 IAFC election is now open. Letters are being mailed to each eligible voting member with login credentials (election ID and password) and voting instructions. An email with the same login credentials is being sent as well to eligible voters with a valid email address on file.
Remember: Voting is online only, and all votes must be cast no later than June 26, 2014, at 11:59 PM, Eastern Daylight Time.
The IAFC has contracted with a third-party online election service, Survey and Ballot Systems, to host the election. In addition to the election for 2nd vice president, there is a ballot initiative proposing revisions to the IAFC constitution and bylaws.
If you don’t receive your voting instructions via email, contact Terry Monroe at 866-385-9110 or by email at Elections@iafc.org.
Constitution and Bylaw Changes for 2014
In 2010, the IAFC submitted the Constitution and Bylaws document for review by external legal consultants. A number of changes were made to ensure compliance with New York state law, where the IAFC filed for legal status.
The Constitution, Bylaws & Resolutions (CBR) Committee and the IAFC board of directors recommend adoption of changes to the IAFC constitution and bylaws to include recommendations that ensure compliance with New York State law, along with wording changes and reorganization of items to maintain consistency within the document.
The recommendations were reviewed extensively by the CBR Committee and, after a four-year review process, the CBR Committee requests your approval.
The recommended amendments are available for your review on the CBR page: IAFC.org/CBR.
You may then proceed to vote on the amendments in the IAFC member ballot: DirectVote.net/IAFC.
