Chiefs, Union Leaders Come Together as LMA Conference Returns

After a five-year absence, the Labor-Management Alliance (LMA) Conference is returning April 5-6 to Denver, Colorado.

A partnership between the IAFC and the IAFF, the LMA Conference, brings together fire chiefs and union leaders for two days of networking while also offering valuable knowledge about how to foster and enhance cooperative and collaborative working relationships.

By participating in this conference, you’ll learn not only how the Labor-Management Alliance can help you increase departmental focus, but also how to continue fostering and enhancing labor-management relationships. Strengthening these relationships is crucial to effectively delivering the best possible service to your community.

Workshop topics include:

  • Navigating Politics as a Team
  • Effective Communications
  • Rewards & Challenges in Labor-Management Relationships
  • Title VII and the Civil Rights Act

The closing general session will feature a Q&A with the LMA facilitators and presenters where you’ll gather last-minute tips for better labor-management relationships.

Because attending the conference with your union representative counterpart is invaluable, the LMA conference offers additional registration savings when counterparts commit to attending together.
