Raman Enhanced with SERS: How Low Can You Go? - Identifying Fentanyl and other substances in Low Concentrations.

  • June 21, 2021 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
  • Online
Thermo Fisher Scientific

How low can you go? Or more significantly, how low of a concentration will your Raman analyzer detect and identify target chemicals including fentanyl and fentanyl analogs? Enhance operator safety and success while examining lower concentration chemical threats with Raman analyzers. This webinar presents the advantages of using easy Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) techniques to both defeat common Raman interferences and enable lower dose identification. Participants will observe the manipulation of surrogate chemical samples to identify select target chemicals. Presenter displays tips, techniques and secrets using handheld Raman analyzers with and without SERS analyzing surrogate samples. .

Takeaways:
  • Learn about the Gemini™ handheld Raman and FTIR chemical analyzer
  • Learn about the Gemini™ LowDoseID which uses Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS)
  • Enhance operator safety and success while examining lower concentration chemical threats including fentanyl and fentanyl analogs.
