      Brook M. Pittinger serves as the Assistant Chief of Administration & Risk Management for the Virginia Department of Fire Programs (VDFP). Brook is a team-oriented, pragmatic, results-focused leader with over 15 years of state experience spanning budget and performance management, government operations, and financial oversight. Prior to serving as the Assistant Chief, Brook was appointed by Governor Terry McAuliffe to serve as the VDFP Deputy Executive Director in 2014. As the agency’s first female Deputy Executive Director, Brook provided executive level supervision to the agency’s command staff and oversaw all operational activities of the agency.
