IAFC President, Chief John Butler; IAFC Director-at-Large and IAFC EMS Section International Director, Chief Norris Croom; and CEO Rob Brown attended and presented as Senior Public Safety Executives on behalf of the IAFC at the Federal Highway Administration's Fourth Senior Executive Transportation and Public Safety Summit in Washington, DC.
Chief Croom is the IAFC appointed representative to the FHWA Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Executive Leadership Group (ELG) and served on the the Senior Executive Transportation and Public Safety Summit planning team.
Chief Butler welcomed participants and participated in the "Summit Goal Commitment Signing," hosted by USDOT Executive Leadership and FHWA TIM ELG organizations. The attached 2024 Summit Program document provides more information on what Chiefs Norris and Brown (ret.) presented on.
In addition to Chief Butler, Chiefs Croom and Brown (ret.), Chief Jim Yates, Eastern Division International Director, attended on behalf of the IAFC BOD and represented the IAFC Divisions. Chief Rich Cowger, the VCOS Chair, attended on behalf of his section.
