The IAFC's Volunteer and Combination Officers Section and Vector Solutions are teaming up for the 11th straight year to present the 2024 Training Officer Recognition Award, which acknowledges outstanding performance by a training officer.
What is Required for Nomination?
- Nominees should be chiefs, training officers, or others acquainted with training
- Nominees should demonstrate innovative methods for training
- Nominees must be an IAFC member, or come from a department where the department or the chief of the department is an active IAFC member

The 2024 Training Officer Recognition Award
The winner of this award will win free registration to the 2024 Fire-Rescue International (FRI) event in Dallas. In addition, they will receive round-trip airfare to the conference and a three-night hotel stay. They will also be recognized at the VCOS section meeting and will receive a plaque commemorating their award.
- Nomination period runs now through June 21
- Winner will be announced in early July
- FRI is scheduled August 14-16 in Dallas, Texas
