The International Association of Fire Chiefs, in collaboration with Columbia Southern University, is happy to announce that the first series of online courses for Company Officers I – II – III is now available!
At the heart of this collaboration is the newly developed ODP - Leadership Development Certification Series. This cutting-edge program is meticulously crafted to cultivate visionary leaders capable of navigating the challenges of the modern fire service. The series integrates IAFC's industry expertise with CSU's renowned educational background, offering a multidimensional approach that combines academia's best practices with real-world experience.
- Flexible Learning Options: Choose from 100% online or a hybrid of online and onsite courses.
- Exclusive Benefits: Students who complete this course will be eligible to receive 1.3 continuing education units or one undergraduate college credit hour that can be applied to any degree program at CSU. Each course consists of eight (8) units, all of which must be completed, followed by passing an online examination with a minimum score of 70%.
Flexible and Comprehensive Training
Courses are delivered online and onsite at IAFC Fire-Rescue International (FRI) and through IAFC division and state regional delivery programs. Each program can be completed 100% online or through a combination of online and onsite course completion after the successful completion of an online examination. Students can continue to build their leadership skills, decision-making abilities, and strategic expertise, while also receiving continuing education units to validate their professional development efforts.
The LDCS Company Officer Level consists of three courses. These courses can be taken separately from earning the LDCS certificate for CEU credit. Completion of the entire Company Officer Series is equivalent to three academic credit hours.
