The Company Officers Section (COS) board election process is NOW open. If you’re a current section member interested in serving on the board, please read the following information carefully.
The COS Board consists of a chair, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer, and eight (8) at-large board members. All are elected by section membership.
Open Seats
The Company Officers Section election will include (4) board member seats up for election this year. These seats are three-year terms, through Fire-Rescue International (FRI) 2027.
Eligibility Requirements
Board member duties and qualifications can be found in the Section Bylaws, Article 5, Section 4.
Candidates must:
- Be a regular, associate, or life member in good standing of the IAFC and the section.
- Be available to attend the annual meeting and participate in monthly conference calls.
- Work on projects assigned by the chair/board members.
Any COS member who wishes to be considered for nomination must email the following information to Chief Rob Frampton, COS Elections Committee Chair by 11:59 PM, Wednesday, March 15, 2024.
Ballot Requirements
- Name, address, phone and email address
- A statement explaining your qualifications and desire to serve as a board member. This statement will be included on the online ballot and is restricted to 150 words
- Biography/Platform (300 word maximum)
- Your department or company name, and your position or title
- Your supervisor’s name, phone number, and email address so we may verify your information.
- A current résumé.
- Your division.
