Registration & Call for Abstracts! EPA’s International Decontamination Research & Development Conference

The 2021 EPA Decon Conference is seeking oral, poster, and technology café presentations to discuss critical challenges that the United States would face in rapidly recovering from a major chemical, biological, or radiological hazard incident as well as oil spill events. This conference is designed to facilitate presentation, discussion, and collaboration among the emergency response community with a focus on an all-hazards approach to cleaning up contaminated buildings and infrastructure. Topics of interest include: all hazard applications for waste management, decontamination efforts and increasing resilience of aging water systems, information sharing and infrastructure cybersecurity, COVID-19 efforts focused on environmental sampling, analysis, fate/transport, and decontamination, oil spill cleanup, and applications of social science to decontamination. This conference is FREE to attend and will be held virtually this year from November 1 – 5. The deadline for abstract submission is August 31st.
