The FCC continues to release notices and news releases in response to Hurricane Dorian. All information can be found at https://www.fcc.gov/dorian. Members should be aware that the FCC Public Safety & Homeland Security Bureau has activated the Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS) for the state of Florida. The FCC may expand this as the hurricane travels.
The DIRS is designed to enable communications providers to report communications infrastructure status during major events. Should you need to check on the status of communications infrastructure in your area, you may access the DIRS by following log-in procedures at https://www.fcc.gov/nors/disaster/.
The DIRS will be updated each morning at 10 AM until the crisis has passed.
