Student researchers in collaboration with the IAFC and Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association want to
hear your opinion about a federal loan forgiveness program that may impact members of the fire service.
Master of Public Administration (MPA) candidates at the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy are looking to understand what is known about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program among those in the profession. This program was designed to reduce the cost burden of student loans for public servants.
A
brief survey has been developed in conjunction with this research project to understand educational needs and requirements of fire service professionals, existing knowledge of the PSLF program, and experiences that have been encountered with the PSLF program. Participation in this survey is voluntary and would help inform a list of recommendations.
