Maritime Administration (MARAD)

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) is a non-regulatory agency within DOT that represents maritime transportation interests with other federal agency partners including EPA, OSHA, the USCG and other DHS agencies. Through the Office of Environment and Compliance, MARAD facilitates a balanced approach to the needs of safety, security, the environment and commercial mobility for water transport.
