James O Page EMS Achievement Award
Tradition plays a key role in the history of the fire service. Traditions are handed down from one generation to the next generation. In some cases, a ceremony like this is a tradition that is our way of remembering someone who through their vision and leadership impacted fire-based EMS. This ceremony is dedicated to remembering a leader who through his efforts made a significant impact on the implementation of emergency medical services into the fire service and brought about a higher level of service to an entire country.
This Award is named in honor of James O. Page who was a visionary and a national leader in Fire Service EMS for over three decades and is presented annually to an individual who has played a key role in creating and/or promoting non-clinical innovation and achievements in Fire Service EMS management and leadership that has had a positive impact nationally.
Individuals selected for this award must be committed to the following:
- Dedicated to creating a positive image for EMS while an advocate of the Fire Service.
- Devoted to making a difference for the overall good of the Fire Service.
- Committed to furthering and strengthening the role and image of the Fire Service EMS across the country.
The individual selected must have the following qualities:
- Enthusiasm and dedication toward Fire Service EMS.
- Professionalism and Vision.
- Desire for achievement and drive for excellence.
- Exemplary performance and leadership qualities.
