U.S. DOL Opinion Letter: Ability to Volunteer 2008

A 2008 U.S. DOL opinion letter on volunteering in the same fire department where someone is a career firefighter. This ruling explains that an employee cannot volunteer to perform the same services he is paid to perform for the same employer.
