Overview

Our life is becoming electrified by batteries more and more each day; from vehicles to everyday items that we use and depend on. These same batteries that make our days easier can also make it a day to remember if you respond to a battery emergency. Much of the fire service is not prepared with training and knowledge to be successful when responding to these battery emergencies. Join us as we discuss lessons learned, smart practices, and what we can do to keep our members safe while mitigating these incidents.

Takeaways

  • Learn whether we can/should put water on batteries or not
  • Hear what outside agencies you may need for assistance
  • Understand how unprepared many organizations are to respond to these electric emergencies
